The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue contract N00019-98-C-0012 to Lockheed-Martin Federal Systems (LMFS), 9500 Godwin Drive, Manassas, VA for the services and hardware necessary to upgrade and expand the capabilities of the SH-60B helicopter trainers. Specifically, this contract will seek to update the trainers with new software, replace the instructor station, add a new aerodynamic model, reconfigure the trainers with a new system architecture, and correct various other problems. LMFS-Manassas is the only firm with the technical expertise and knowledge of the trainer software required to complete this effort. See Note 22. (0237)
