The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Simrad, Inc., Lynnwood, Washington for the following unique electronic system components installed on ships of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) fleet. KIT 082807, 120 KHz Transceiver Module (1KW) split beam, 1 each; KIT 082808, 200 KHz Transceiver Module (1KW), 1 each; BI5-133036 BI500 Software package for Sun Workstation, 8mm Tape (2nd site license) 1 each; TI-5-133037 EP500 PC Software package (2nd site license) 1 each. Authority: 41 USC 253 [c][1]. Simrad, Inc. is the only known source capable of furnishing the equipment. The proposed simplified acquisition action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required equipment. Copies of the Request for Quotes (RFQ) will only be provided in response to written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor. Telephone requests will not be honored.
