pam.martin@mge.afres.af.mil. Title: AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT
Description: The following is the amendment to sol. F09609-97-Q-0009
for 67-audiovisual equipment published on 1 Aug 97. The following
information is a CORRECTION to the original synopsis/solicitation. Due
to average industry standards for projector bulbs for projector
systems we will accept any projector bulb which has a life of 3000
hours or greater. Mounting requirements for the projectors are now wall
mount or rack mount using the existing racks. Change is due to
projector room limitations. Written quotes are due by close of business
5 Sep 1997. The information that follows are "answers to written
questions" requested of this office. The screen for the conference room
is a permanently mounted glass screen with dimensions of 60" h x 120"
w. The Government requirement is for the contractor to support
presentations from existing Pentium 166 MHz computers or notebooks
(models not important), VCR (model not important), and Elmo (model not
important). Government VTC equipment is from VTEL. Existing racks are
in the projector room behind the conference room. The projector room
is 10' w x 25' with a ceiling height of 12 feet. The existing screen is
center mounted on the front wall approx. 32 inches from the floor. Due
to ceiling air conditioning limitations, we now must either wall mount
the projectors or use the existing racks. If existing racks are used,
there is no need to remove the racks as originally planned. Existing
old projectors and cabling must be removed. If projectors are wall
mounted, then racks should also be removed. Two racks currently holding
projectors are to be removed. A rack for the current matrix switching
equipment will remain in place and any new switching equipment will be
mounted in this rack. Any parts needed to rack mount equipment shall
be the responsibility of the contractor. There is a requirement for a
total of two (2) spare lamps. An on/off switch control is all that is
required for the microphone system. The amplifier is not remotely
controllable. Video and audio from the VTC system is required. The
switch must allow the presenter out front by the podium to select
(display) the video (from the VTC session) onto the screen. VCR and TV
are remote controllable through their own remotes and these devices
should be able to be selected by the matrix system. The control of
existing components requires the Elmo and computers the ability to
select this device as the unit to be displayed.***** (0237) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0287 19970827\67-0002.SOL)
