The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Technology Center, Morgantown, WV intends to award a fixed price contract on a non-competitive basis for the procurement of a Membership to the Consortium of the Center of Hydrate Research at the Colorado School of Mines in Boulder Colorado. The Consortium is the only known source for the information on the most current developments in the highly specialized area of gas hydrates. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this action is DE-RQ26-97FT34359 and is being issued as a Request for Quotation. The following is a description of the deliverables associated with this announcement; an annual report will be issued to the Department of Energy, Federal Energy Technology Center for the membership calendar year, the Federal Energy Technology Center will receive Topical Reports on an as published basis for the membership year, also there will be semi-annual meetings open to members only with discussions and oral reports on the status of the research at the Colorado School of Mines for Hydrate Research, there will be annual reports on cost and expenditures of the effort.
