drydock/repairs on T.S. EMPIRE STATE, including USCG/ABS regulatory
inspections, drydock/COI credit inspections, sea valves, underwater
hull preservation, tailshaft, propeller and rudder/pintle inspections,
and other miscellaneous inspections. All work shall be performed at
contractor's drydocking facility. Contractor will be required to tow
the vessel from current ship berthing location, State University of New
York (SUNY), Maritime College, Fort Schuyler, Bronx, NY to contractor's
drydock facility and return. The Maritime Administration requires that
to be eligible for award under this solicitation offerors must: be
holders of the MARAD Master Lump Sum Repair Agreement (MLSRA) or shall
apply for and agree to the terms and conditions of the MLSRA. Offerors
may accept the MLSRA with their bid; nonholders shall provide annual
representations and certifications as required by the MLSRA. Delivery
schedule is 30 calender days, after effective date of a written Notice
to Proceed, plus towing allowance days. All requests must be in
writing; may be telefaxed to (757) 441-6080. All responsible sources
may submit an offer which will be considered. THIS NOTICE IS FOR
INFORMATION PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED AND DISADVANTAGED
BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit it $500,000.
