FOLLOW-ON SOLE-SOURCE COST PLUS FIXED FEE (CPFF) CONTRACT TO HONEYWELL
INCORPORATED. The purpose of this notice is to ascertain if there are
any other sources which will meet the Governments requirements. This
notice does not constitute a request for proposals. The Government
intends to award a Sole-Source follow-on contract based upon the
results of the Advanced Spaceborne Computer Module (ASCM) contract
(F29601-89-C-0084). This effort will require the contractor to perform
an analysis, which focuses on comparing the performance of two
different ASCM Honeywell MIL-STD-1750A processors in a Honeywell
proprietary computer and deliver a final test report. Interested
sources must have U.S. Top Secret facility prior to award of the
effort/contract. This effort is entitled "Single Chip Generic Very High
Speed Integrated Circuit Spaceborne Computer Integrated Within a
Missile Guidance Computer". The MIL-STD-1750A processors and Honeywell
proprietary computer are still under development for the Air Force.
Therefore, the processors and computer cannot be delivered to the
Government for transfer to another contractor to receive as Government
Furnished Property. The estimated period of performance under this
effort is 18 months. The estimated award date for this effort is
October 1997. A stringent cost (2.6 Mil) and 18 month schedule is
required in order to meet our customers needs. The estimated cost for
this effort is $2.6 Million. Sources responding to this notice must
have existing single chip MIL-STD-1750A processor product manufactured
in Separation with Implanted Oxygen, Silicon on Insulator (SOI)
Technology and must briefly describe how they are able to perform the
effort within the above cost and scheduled requirements. Sources
