The Government intends to solicit through commercial acquisition procedures for one Deployable Ku-Band Earth Terminal (DKET), which shall be a self contained shelterized configuration where all the required terminal electronics are housed in a transportable shelter and the antenna system is deployed on a Contractor prepared site. The DKET shall provide all the required environmental controls equipment to operate continuously. The DKET shall be designed to be fielded, operated, and maintained by designated Contractor personnel who have been properly trained on the system and its components. The DKET shall be delivered to the nearest Air Force Base; shipped by the Government (allow 10 calendar days) to the Administrative Support Unit (ASU) in Bahrain; installed, tested and operational in no later than 70 days after contract award. Note that based on industry comments, integration of the monitor and control function into the system will now be required no later than 120 days after contract award. The acquisition includes a basic requirement for the DKET, site survey and preparation, associated data requirements, and a commercial warranty. Options for additional years of contractor support and training are also included. All draft solicitation documents will appear, and the Request for Quote (RFP) will be issued, on the CECOM Business Opportunities Web Page in lieu of the CECOM Command Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB).
