Provide Architect/Engineer services to renovate Ward 4D to accomodate consolidation of ambulatory care programs at the VA Western New York Healthcare System, Buffalo, NY. Work includes, but is not limited to: production of construction documents, performance of construction period services and site visits, asbestos assessment of affected areas and air monitoring, consultation/meetings/discussions with staff to establish the specific program requirements. Project design objectives include, but are not limited to: demolition, mechanical HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, voice/data network, and architectural improvements, along with appropriate asbestos abatement. The new space will include administrative functions, outpatient exam/treatment rooms, cardiac rehabilitation, and audiology services. The project's intent is to improve the VA's efficiency delivery of ambulatory care/outpatient programs, improved patient access and privacy, and updated architectural aesthetics of the area, all within budgetary limitations. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Scope of Work. NOTE: This acquisition is limited to firms located within a 75 mile radius of of the VA Western New York Healthcare System, Buffalo, NY. Otherwise, this acquisition is unrestricted (meaning that any firm can apply regardless of business size. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated to be awarded.
