F -- WEED AND PROCESS SEEDLINGS SOL RFP R5-14-98-01Q DUE 101097 POC Contact Nancy Ruffner, 916 246-5220/Contracting Officer, Kathy Reno, 916 246-5080 USDA, Forest Service, Shasta-Trinity National Forest is issuing a negotiated contract for the weeding and harvesting of tree seedlings at the Humboldt Nursery, 4886 Cottage Grove Avenue, McKinleyville, Humboldt County, CA. There will be a base year with one optional renewal year. Estimated quantities for the base year are 35,000 linear feet of lifting and loading; grading and packing of 115,000 seedlings; and weeding of 30 acres of weedbeds. Bidders will be required to submit a technical as well as a price proposal. A tentative pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 23, 1997 at the Humboldt Nursery. Bidders should contact Daniel O'Connell at 707 839-3256 to confirm the date and time of the tour. Contract time for the weeding portion is 11 months with an estimated start of November 3, 1997; for the harvesting portion, 4 months with estimated start of December 8, 1997.
