FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue an RFQ utilizing procedures for procuring commercial items IAW FAR Part 12 for the following: On-Call Service Maintenance, Scheduled Preventative Maintenance and Repair Maintenance for various pieces of material handling equipment. Approximately (43) pieces of equipment. The following types of equipment will be required to be maintained: Elgin Pelican backlot sweeper, Stoughton Semi-van trailer, Northwestern Motor Co, tow tractor, Cushman electric cart, Cushman gas cart, Hyster propane and electric forklifts, Harlan propane tow tractor, Tennant propane sweeper, Yale propane cab, H Wiggins rotary head forklift, Clement semi-trailer, Miller semi-trailer, Ingersol-Rand psa compressor, Caterpillar diesel bull-dozer, Miller diesel welder, Link-Belt crane, John Deere front end loader. This list is partial. A full service crew on call type contract will be required to perform maintenance and repair of this equipment. All repairs are to take place at DefenseReutilization Management Office, Outlying Landing Field, Imperial Beach, CA, and DRMO Recycling Center, Naval Station, San Diego, CA. Period of performance: October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998 (Base year), and October 1, 1998 to September 30, 1999 (Option year I). All responsible contractors that have qualifications to perform the required types of maintenance are encouraged to fax in a request for a copy of the RFQ (Request for Quotation). The government anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract. Award will be made on a all or none basis. Award of the base year contract does not committ the government to the exercising of the option year. Requests for a copy of the RFQ will be accepted by fax and must be received by cob, 1500 hrs, on 9-9-97. Requests received after 9-8-97 will not be accepted. The RFQ will be available to prospective vendors on 9-10-97. The closing and return due for the RFQ's will be stated on the RFQ.
