This is a solicitation for commercial materials prepared in accordance
with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in the notice. Proposals are being requested and
a written solicitation will be issued upon request. This is a request
for quotation (RFQ) number DTCG80-97-Q-3FA851. This solicitation
document will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. The standard industrial
classification code is 2842 and the size standard is 500 employees. The
requirement is for the following: Contractor to provide all labor,
materials, services, equipment, and competence to chemically clean
(hydroblasting not acceptable) USCGC TAHOMA, USCGC CAMPBELL, USCGC
RELIANCE sewage piping systems so as not to interupt entire system
capabilities at one time. The incorporated chemical cleaner used shall
be an organic biocleaner compatible with all local, state, and federal
compliance. A closed loop chemical circulation processis required to
ensure there can be no transference of any waste. A mobile
recirculation unit is needed capable of entire system handling
capabilities. USCGC TAHOMA (WMEC-908) and USCGC CAMPBELL (WMEC-909) are
located in New Bedford, MA, USCGC RELIANCE (WMEC-615) is located in
Kittery, ME. Performance period is 9 September thru 18 September 1997.
