equipment, transportation and supervision necessary for security guard
services, as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), at the
Coast Guard Integrated Support Command, Boston, MA. The period of
performance is one base year, beginning 1 December 1997 through 30
November 1998, with four one-year options. The government will award a
contract from this request for proposals to the responsible offeror
whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to
the government, price and past performance considered. This
solicitation is restricted to participation to small business concerns
(100% set-aside). The standard industrial code (SIC) is 7381. The size
standard is $9.0 million. The solicitation package will be issued on or
about 8 September 1997, and may be obtained by submitting a written
request along with a non-refundable check in the amount of $15.00 per
package, made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard. It is impracticable to
distribute the applicable manuals, standing orders, standard operating
procedures, and other locally published instructions and notices
referenced in the solicitation. These documents may be obtained at the
Integrated Support Command, 427 Commercial Street, Boston, MA 02109.
All requests for the solicitation packages shall reference the
solicitation number, DTCG84-97-R-3B2910, your telephone and FAX
numbers, and address. Only written requests will be honored; no
telephone requests for the solicitation packages will be honored. All
responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by
this agency. NOTE: This Notice is for information purposes for
Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority,
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
