The Department of Army Aviation & Missile Command is seeking market information on commercial digital display panels which meet military environmental conditions. The Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Horizontal Technology Integration (HTI) Integrated Product Team (IPT) is collecting technical and programmatic data on weapon systems requirements and material solutions. The focus is on ruggidized/militarized Lap Top/Portable Computers, Fire Control Panels, and/or display panels currently used or planned for use in combat, fire support, aviation, engineer and special operations weapons. Cab space is limited. Sun-light readable color displays, audio and video capabilities are preferred. Equipment should be able to be run on 28v DC military vehicle power. Computing objectives are 64MB RAM, with growth to 256, DC and 1.5GB removable hard drive. United States and allied industry is requested to provide information in existing format that may be of interest to the U.S. Army in identifying potential HTIor vertical technology insertion (VTI) opportunities for MLRS display panels.
