IS A MODIFICATION TO SYNOPSIS APPEARING ON 8/5/97 AND IS MODIFIED AS
FOLLOWS: THE QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED AS FOLLOWS: a. Question 1. The ABB
part number specified is meaningless to everyone but ABB, and the
specification describes only a basic breaker (which is essentially an
electrically operated switch without any automatic tripping function).
Do you want any operating options, I.E. metering, relays (trip,
reclose, etc.) bushing current transformers (to operate the metering,
relay(s), etc.) or etc? Answer: The Government requires the breaker to
have the following: (3 ea) phase and (1 ea) ground over-current relays
also auto trip and reclose relay. b. Question 2. The style # specified,
5BB1162M50360, is for a breaker with a 600 AMP (A) continuous current
rating and that conflicts with the 1200A rating specified. Do you want
a 600A or 1200A rating? Answer: The Government requires the breaker to
be 1200 amp Vacuum, Sub-Station free standing type, 15kv. Capacitor
trip with indicator light for open/close. c. Question 3. The style #
also includes six (6) bushing mounted current transformers and a
distribution protection relay which are needed to make the specified
breakers operate as circuit breakers (see our Question #1) but are not
specified. Do you want the current transformers and relay included in
each breaker or not? Answer: The Government requires the current
transformers in bushings: (3 bushings on line side and 3 bushings on
load side) a total of 6 bushings with CTs. 2. THE TIME AND DATE SET FOR
RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS IN EXTENDED TO: Date: 8 September 97 Time: 4:00 PM
