The overall effort is referred to as the Digital Broadcasting Project (DBP) which is a multi-year, multi-contract effort. WORLDNET TV has an immediate requirement to procure Digital Video Production Switchers. These switchers shall be configured for CCIR 601 4:2:2 serial component digital video signals. Each switcher must be capable of accepting up tp 64 serial inputs and each shall have at least 3 mix/effect banks, a program/preset mixer, and two downstream keyers. This solicitation was removed from the procurement process in September 1996 in order to revise the statement of work. USIA now intends to reissue a Commercial Acquisition Solicitation (RFP) for this firm fixed price procurement by September 10, 1997 with a proposal (technical literature only) response date of September 25, 1997. Qualified manufacturers of Digital Video Production Switchers may request a copy of the RFP/Solicitation by submitting a written request, (or faxed request -- FAX NO. 202-205-5466), to the USIA Contracting Officer at the above-listed address. All questions regarding this proposed solicitation must be submitted by fax or in writing to the USIA Contracting Officer within 10 days after issue date of the subject RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation document, and all proposals shall be considered by the Agency. This notice is not a RFP.***** (0239)
