This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-97-Q-0413 is issued as a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3663. The size standard is 500 employees. The requirement is for the procurement of 20 each multiplexers, K and L Microwave., Inc. Part Number 5LM10-20X2000-0. The Government will negotiate with only one source, K And L Microwave, Inc., 408 Coles Circle, Salisbury, MD 21801. The information contained in the drawings/ specifications is proprietary to K And L Microwave, Inc. Final inspection and acceptance will be at source by a representative of the DCMAO prior to shipment to NSWC Crane. The contractor shall submit a Material Inspection and Receiving Report (DD250) to a representative of DCMAO for acceptance/rejection of each item. The Serial Number of each item will be annotated on the DD250. The signed DD250 shall accompany each item(s) to NSWC. The required delivery date is 120 days after contract award. The Contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The shipping terms will be F.O.B. destination, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane IN, with inspection/acceptance at destination.
