FISC San Diego has a requirement for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate from distributors of only one manufacturing source under the authority of Far parts 6.302 and 12.6. FISC San Diego intends to negotiate with distributors of products from Caterpillar Inc.. The requirement is for one Caterpillar 200KW Prime Power Generator. Solicitation reference is N00244-97-Q-A528. Statement of work / specifications: 1) One generator, 200 KW, Caterpillar, P/N 3406DITA, brushless, self-excited, SR4, VR 3 regulator, main line circuit breaker, automatic self-stop shutdowns with programmable safety shutdowns, diesel engine, rated 265 KW prime power, 300 KW standby and 480 volt, base formed steel mounting system, single 24 volt electric starting motor, stainless steel hardware, 2) Weather type enclosure with lockable hinged doors, 3) Battery rack and cables, 4) 2 ea. size 4D 950CA batteries, 5) 120VAC/2500 watt jacket water heater with isolation valves, 6) Linear vibration isolators between base and engine generator, 7) 200 gal. double wall base tank, 8) EMCP II instrumentation. Requirement is to replace existing COSAL supported equipment. Delivery to Port Hueneme, CA. Inspections and acceptance of material will be done by the receiving officer.
