for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solication;
proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be
issued. The solicitation number is F04700-97-T-5742. This is a request
for quotation (RFQ). The mission requirements are for a data system
which can record the following data types: (1) 2 each, programmable
condition unit; (2) 4 each, programmable gain analog monitoring
interface card, capable of monitoring 32 analog parameters (low and
high level signals); (3) 2 each, MIL Std 1553 interface card capable of
monitoring 200 message blocks; (4) 2 each, IRIG time code reader
interface card, capable of embedding time into the PCM stream; (5) 4
each, ARINC 429 interface card, capable of monitoring eight independent
ARINC 429 data buses; and (6) 2 each, 4 channel frequency converter
card, capable of monitoring four frequency measurands. The data system
also needs to meet the following mission requirements: (1) output PCM
streams compatible with telemetering and airborne equipment; (2)
compatible with current data processing systems here at Edwards AFB and
at McDonnell aircraft, St Louis, MO; (3) compatible with existing Aydin
Vector systems available here at Edwards AFB for use by this program;
and (4) the data system should be flight worthy, small in size that
will allow installation in the T38 with upgraded avionics capablity
without removal of any production equipment. Delivery: 180 days after
receipt of order. The Air Force Flight Test Center intends to purchase
this system from Aydin Telemetry, 47 Friends Lane, Newtown, PA 18940,
unless responses to this notice reveal additional sources capable of
supplying the system with existing equipment. The simplified
acquisition procedure (SAP) will be used in awarding this contract by
written quotation. Interested parties have 15 days from the date of
this publication to submit literature, catalogs and/or brochures that
will meet the requirements, and must submit clear and convincing
documentation to demonstrate their ability to meet the Government's
requirements to Grace Watson, AFFTC/PKAB, 5 South Wolfe Avenue, Edwards
