The US Department of Energy's Federal Energy Technology Center, Morgantown, WV intends to award a fixed price contract for the procurement of a 2 year Membership and Subscription for the Joint Industry Project (JIP) titled "Proposal to Develop and Evaluate Horizontal Well Technology -- Phase IV, DEA 44". Mauer Engineering has the sole JIP in place to review and publicize all aspects of horizontal well technology and to sponsor technology transfer forums on this technology. This makes Mauer the only known provider for the information that is to be received via this subscription. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. Proposals are due 15 September 1997. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this action is DE-RQ26-97FT34361 and is being issued as a Request for Quotation. However, any responsible source(s) capable of suppling the above items are encouraged to respond. Only written responses will receive consideration and the responses must convey the ability of the response to meet the stated requirements.
