EMERGENCY SPILLWAY REPAIRS -- The work consists of repairing flood damaged areas below the outlets of the emergency spillways for five floodwater retarding dams on the South Fork Watershed Project in Pendleton County, West Virginia. Major items of work include the placement of approximately 18,200 cubic yards of compacted earthfill; installing 215 tons of rock riprap; salvaging and installing 20 linear feet of 24 inch diameter corrugated metal pipe; installing 40 linear feet of 18 inch diameter corrugated metal pipe; and seeding approximately 12.3 acres of disturbed areas. The price range for this work is $100,000 to 250,000. Performance time for this work is 84 calendar days. A pre-bid/site showing will be conducted on September 3, 1997 at 9:30 a.m. by Kathy Allen, Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). Plan to meet at Oak Flat Ruritan Building located approximately 12 miles East of Franklin, WV at the intersection Route 33 and Route 3. One contract will be awarded for all five sites. HERBERT HOOVER HIGH SCHOOL -- The work consists of reconstructiong a 180 foot section of river bank using select rockfill embankment material. Rockfill material will be hauled in from an off site borrow area. Approximately 2,810 cubic yards of rockfill material is needed. Upon completion of the work all disturbed areas will receive lime and fertilizer and be seeded and mulched. The price range for this work is $25,000 to $100,000. Performance time for this work is 18 calendar days. A pre-bid/site showing will be conducted on September 4, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. by Sam Ware, COTR. Plan to meet at the entrance to Herbert Hoover High School Parking Lot -- located approximately 2 miles South of Clendinin, WV on Rotue 119. One contract will be awarded for this site. CABELL SITE 101 & LINCOLN SITE 101 -- This solicitation contains work on two Emergency Watershed Protection Sites. CABELL SITE 101 is located along the Mud River, 0.4 miles southeast of Milton, Cabell County, West Virginia at the end of George Avenue off of Co. Route 25. The sites consist of 360 feet of rock riprap streambank protection needed to stabilize two streambank slips endangering three homes. The work consists of minor clearing & grubbing, installation of 80 feet of 4 inch PVC pipe, and installation of approximately, 1,491 tons of Rock Riprap. LINCOLN SITE 101 is located along Trace Fork, 0.4 miles West of the Junction of Route 4 and Route 34, Lincoln couty, WV. The site consists of 180 feet of Rock riprap protection. The work consists of Clearing & Grubbing, and installation of approximately 652 tons of Rock Riprap. The price range for this work is $25,000 to $100,000. CABELL COUNTY SITE 102, 103, 104, 105, 106 & 107 -- This solicitation will contain work on six (6) Emergency Watershed Protection Sites located in Cabell County, WV. The work primarily consists of obstruction removal and regrading, although Site 102 will receive approximately 1,444 tons of rock riprap. The price range for this work is $25,000 to $100,000. Performance time for this work is 24 calendar days. A pre-bid/site showing will be conducted on September 5, 1997 at 9:00 a.m. by Harvey Mitchell, COTR. Plan to meet at the Milton City Hall in Multon, WV. Take I-64 to Exit 28, Milton, turn South on John's Creek Road, then turn West on Route 60 at intersection, Proceed 1/4 mile to light at smith Street, Turn north on Smith Street, Milton City Hall is on the right. One contract will be awarded for all 6 sites. There will be no other scheduled pre-bid confrences.
