Z -- NEW BULKHEAD AND SEWER LINE AT USCG STATION BRANT POINT, SOL DTCGG1-98-B-3WK005 DUE 102097 POC Ms. Jodi Ruggiero, Contract Specialist (401) 736-1785 Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary for a new bulkhead and sewer line at the USCG Station Brant Point, Nantucket, MA. Work includes constructing approximately 161 linear feet of steel sheet pile bulkhead, removing approximately 162 linear feet of ductile iron sewer pipe, and installing a new 162 liner foot ductible iron sewer pipe, and incidental related work. Also included is an option for removing and disposing of existing wood bulkhead. Marine experience is required to accomplish this work. Estimated cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. SIC code is 1623. There will be a three month winter suspension after award, in which submittals approval and equipment ordering will be accomplished. The Contractor shall have 21 calendar days from end of suspension period to complete construction. The due date for receipt of bids is October 20, 1997. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
