Michael Dodd, Code SEA02522, (703)602-7900 ext 568 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a firm-fixed-price contract to ITT Industries, ITT Gilfillan Division, 7821 Orion Ave, Van Nuys, CA 91409 for the development, fabrication, testing and delivery of one AN/SPS-48E Radar Solid State Transmitter (SST) Upgrade Engineering Development Model (EDM). ITT Gilfillan is the sole manufacturer of the AN/SPS-48E radar, and as design agent, is the only known source with the indepth knowledge, experience and special tooling to develop the SST Upgrade.
