Solicitation number N00168-98-Q-M004 will be issued 12 September 1997 for the Main Operating Room, National Naval Medical Center. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 7699. The small business size standard is $3.5 million. NNMC has a requirement for a preventive maintenance contract for Carl Zeiss operating room microscopes. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base year period of one (1) year effective 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998 with two (2) year options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the options.
