The Center for Mental Health Services, SAMHSA, through the Program Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch intends to award a sole source contract to The National Association of Protection and Advocacy System, the Advocacy Training and Technical Assistance Center for the promotion of the use of Advanced Directives (AD'S). The current status of the use of AD'S will be ascertained, consumer experiences with and barriers to the use of these AD'S will be identifed, and training and technical assistance strategies to address barriers to the use of AD'S, including those in the managed care environment, will be developed, implemented, field tested and finalized.
