The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River announces its intention to procure on a competitive basis, services and materials necessary to provide systems engineering analysis, development, and integration of warfare systems in various Navy platforms. The contractor shall be required to perform the following tasks: Systems Engineering, Aircraft Systems/Subsystems Integration, Avionics and Software Technology Insertion, Vehicle Technology Planning/Insertion, Survivability Engineering, Configuration Management, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering, Night Vision Devices/Night Vision Systems, Cockpit Displays Technology/Integral Lighting and Exterior Lighting, Program Performance Assessment Analysis/Planning, Allocated Baseline Identification Database, IR/IED Document Support, Naval Aviation Planning Document, Reconnaissance and Surveillance System/Sensors, Non-Cooperative Target Identification, Multi-Sensor Integration, and Engagement and Rehearsal Aids. The services shall be performed at Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River Md. The planned period of performance is for one base year plus four option years, all being evaluated at time of contract award. The estimated level of effort required is 188,000 man-hours per year. The anticipated contract type is Cost Plus Fixed Fee. It is intended to issue a draft RFP to allow for a scheduled Pre-Solicitation Conference in which all interested parties will be able to attend. This synopsis notice is for both the draft RFP/Pre-Solicitation and for the final RFP. The SIC code for small business purposes is 8711. This is a follow-on requirement to SEMCOR contract N00421-95-C-5013.
