MARKETPLACE '97 PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITIES CONFERENCE North Carolina will again hold its statewide federal procurement conference on Monday, November 24, 1997 at the Sheraton Imperial in the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. This small business contracting day, sponsored by Representative Bob Etheridge, Representative David Price, and Representative Mel Watt, is designed to bring small business sellers together with buyers from federal agencies and prime contractors. Potential suppliers will meet buyers from government, military and civilian agencies, and prime contractors. Buyers will be discussing subcontractor needs and counseling those with questions concerning the procurement opportunities they offer. Exhibit booths are available for both federal agencies and prime contractors. Existing and potential small business suppliers can register to visit exhibitor booths and attend seminars. Seminar subjects include selling to the government, electronic commerce/electronic data interchange(EC/EDI), government contracting opportunities, and contract payments. This major event is in cooperation with the Environmental Protection Agency, National Contract Management Association, National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Small Business Administration and Small Business and Technology Development Center/Procurement Technical Assistance Center(SBTDC/PTAC).
