equipment, transportation and supervision necessary for refuse
collection services, as specified in the Performance Work Statement
(PWS), at the Coast Guard Integrated Support Command, Boston, MA. The
period of performance is one base year, beginning 1 December 1997
through 30 November 1998, with four one-year options. The government
will award a contract from this request for proposals to the
responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be
most advantageous to the government, price and past performance
considered. This solicitation is unrestricted pursuant to the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation
package will be issued on or about 9 September 1997. All requests for
the solicitation packages shall reference the solicitation number,
DTCG84-97-R-3B2911, your telephone and FAX numbers, and address. Only
written requests will be honored; no telephone requests for the
solicitation packages will be honored. All responsible sources may

has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance
for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
