This procurement consists of housekeeping services for the base clinic at Hanscom AFB, MA. Services will include but will not be limited to the removal of soil, cleaning of entrances and entrance platforms foot scrapers, exterior entrance mats, trash and smoking receptacles. Remove lint, cobwebs, mud, dirt, and litter from the outside walls of and in the immediate vicinity of entrances. Clean entrance windows, storm windows, and doors as required. Clean patios and ceilings. The period of performance will be from 97OCT01 through 98SEP30 with two option years. The procurement will be a firm-fixed price simplified acquisition procedure using commercial practices. A site visit is scheduled for 9:00 am local time, on 08 September 1997. Prior to an individual being assigned as contract manager, the contractor shall assure the individual has completed the training required in a publicly offered housekeeper's course whose curriculum emphasizes hospital aseptic and is comparable to course work required for certification by the National Executive Housekeeper's Association. Course outline and description of content along with certification of completion shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer, or an in-service management training program, emphasizing hospital aseptic, which has been established and sponsored by a hospital housekeeping service Contractor and is comparable in content to the NEHA recognized course curriculum.
