V -- BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENSE ORGANIZATION CONSOLIDATION AND RELOCATION POC Lt Col Marcus Livingston, (703) 604-4454, CBD Reference Number: 97-24 The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO) is seeking information on and potential sources for organizational relocation services. BMDO is currently housed in two locations at the Pentagon and Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. The Director of BMDO has mandated a consolidation of the organization into one facility. The consolidation is currently planned for the summer of 2000 and will involve the relocation of 850 government and contractor personnel. Contractor support is required to plan, design and execute the consolidation effort. Interested contractors should have experience interacting with the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) in space acquisition or demonstrate knowledge of GSA and WHS space acquisition procedures. The contractor shall work closely with GSA, WHS, BMDO staff and will integrate the efforts of other BMDO contractors to conduct space requirements planning; office layout design; interior design;furniture and telephone acquisition from approved government sources; furniture and telephone installation; information systems facilities and infrastructure, including local area network (LAN) design, acquisition and installation; move management and execution which includes scheduling, sequencing and movement of personal property and government equipment. The goal of the contracted service will be to deliver a completely operational facility on the first scheduled day of operation. Interested contractors should provide a written statement of capabilities not to exceed 15 written pages to the Contracting Officer no later than 20 days after the posting date of this notice. All responses shall be provided at no cost to the government. No contracts will be awarded as a result of these submissions. This is a request for information and potential sources only.
