W -- RENTAL AND MAINTENANCE OF POSTAGE METERS POC Dyra Monroe (202) 565-1154 Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the National Park Service (NPS) intends to enter into a non-competitive contract for lease and maintenance of Pitney Bowes postal meters to all NPS areas. The NPS is currently using Pitney Bowes postage meters in all of its park areas for outgoing mail because of the worldwide network and remote setting capable meters. IAW authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 the government intends to enter into negotiations on a non-competitive basis with Pitney Bowes within 30 days after the publication of this notice. However, all information received by the agency shall be considered. A determination not to open the requirement to competition based on responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of NPS. (0240)
