54 -- CHEMICAL STORAGE BUILDINGS SOL NFFN2700700065 DUE 091997 POC Sheila Anderson 816-426-7267, ext. 240 The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA has a requirement to purchase two (2) chemical storage buildings for the National Marine Fisheries Service, Galveston Laboratory located in Galveston, Texas. One (1) building is to be 9'H x 8'W x 24'L and one (1) 9'H x 8'W x 16'L. The buildings shall have two-hour fire-rated walls complying with UL Classification U425. Walls constructed of 2" x 4" galvanized steel studs, sheathed with two layers of 5/8" type X gypsum board. Epoxy-coated steel spill containment sump. Must surpass EPA 40CRF 264.175 requirements. Integrated steel channel foundation for placement by forklift or crane. 1 1/2 hour fire-rated automatic-closing fire doors, vent louvers, static grounding/bonding system, hazard labeling and weather-resistant construction and one (1) 60" double-wide door. The buildings are to be in accordance with specifications that will be attached to the Request for Quotation (RFQ) package. The RFQ will be available on or about September 12, 1997. All quotes will be due byCOB September 19, 1997. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All requests for the RFQ must be in writing. Requests may be faxed to 816-426-7530.
