54 -- CHEMICAL STORAGE BUILDINGS SOL NFFN2100700076 DUE 091997 POC Sheila Anderson 816-426-7267, ext. 240 The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA has a requirement to purchase two (2) chemical storage buildings (flammable and combustible materials storage buildings)for the National Marine Fisheries Service, Southeast Fisheries Science Center located in Miami, Florida. The buildings shall be 9'H x 8'W x 32'L. Each building shall have a storage capacity to hold 5 fifty-five gallon drums. The buildings shall have fire-rating for storage of flammables. A minimum of two-hour fire-rated for all walls (both sides including the ceiling, floor, doors & walls) and comply with UL classification U425 and/or ASTM E119 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106 requirements for storage buildings for flammables and help comply with 40 CFR 264.175 so as to allow placement as close as 10 feet to a main structure. Inside walls and ceiling shall be stainless steel interior panels. Outside walls and roof shall be steel coated with corrosion-resistant coating to withstand the salt atmosphere for at least 5/10 years. The buildings are to be inaccordance with specifications that will be attached to the Request for Quotation (RFQ) package. The RFQ will be available on or about September 12, 1997. All quotes will be due by COB September 19, 1997. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All requests for the RFQ must be in writing. Requests may be faxed to 816-426-7530. Faxed receipt is the responsibility of the vendor. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. (0241)
