Postal Service has prequalified four companies to compete for a contract to act as a distribution agent in the Philippines. The companies are: Metropolitan Bank, Bank of the Philippine Islands, PCI Bank and Philippine Postal Corporation. The awarded contractors will be responsible for disbursement of funds transferred from the United States to the Philippines as part of the Sure Money program. Each company has a minimum of 200 distribution sites in the Philippines. The contractors will be required to disburse funds within 15 minutes from the time the transactin is iniated in the United States. (0241)
