The University of California, which operates the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) under contract to the Department of Energy, solicits interest from companies interested in finalizing the development and implementing the commercialization of the following cleaning and decontamination processes: (1) A nuclear laundry system to decontaminate personal protective equipment (PPE) for reuse or disposal as non-low level waste (LLW); (2) A nuclear decontamination system for processing textile job control wastes (JCW); (3) Onsite decontamination of tools, filters and other materials used in the renovation of a nuclear facility. All of these processes will be based on dense phase gas (liquid or supercritical CO2) or other non-aqueous, zero emissions technology. Any organization with interests in the above subject must respond with a statement of interest describing the organization's technical expertise and motivation for participating in this program.
