Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases has a
requirement to purchase biological services for engineering of the
targeting vector, electroporation & antibiotic selection 150 clones,
southern analysis of selected clones 150 clones, mouse es-129/svj 1
hybridization, and restricition mapping and sequencing on a competitive
basis. NIDDK has recently identified a new protein that is involved in
retroviral DNA integration. Current efforts are focused on
understanding how it works. An important part of these studies is to
investigate its function for the host cell using "KNOCKOUT"
TECHNOLOGIES. At the end of the results there may be a need animal
model. NIDDK is not equipped or experience to carry out this part of
the project. All responsible 8 (a) and small business sources may
submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be in within the
Simplified Acquisition Thereshold $ 100,000. It is anticapted that
Request for Quote (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-97-299 will be available fifteen (15)
days after the publication date of this synopsis receipt of quotations
will be due ten (10) days after the released of the RFQ. The
anticipated award date is September 26, 1997. Requests for copies of
