R -- CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SPECIALIST/ INSPECTOR TO EVALUATE CHILD CARE DEVELOPMENT CENTERS SOL DABT60-97-R-0015 DUE 092297 POC Contract Specialist Kathy Vretos (757) 878-1351/2/3 (Site Code DABT60) Child Development Program Specialist/Inspector shall serve as member of Training and Doctrine Major Command Child Care Evaluation Team conducting annual unannounced inspections of Child Development Centers (CDC), Family Child Care (FCC) homes, School-Age Services programs and other programs/facilities used for child care, i.e., Short Term Alternative Child Care (STACC) sites, stand-alone Part-day Preschool at 16 installation sites. Each evaluation/inspection will be conducted by technical/functional experts in the areas of child development and early childhood education. The purpose of these evaluations is to identify any and all threats to the health, safety and well-being of the children cared for in these CDCs, FCC homes, School-Age Services programs, STACC sites and stand-alone Part-day Preschools. Each evaluation will be conducted in accordance with compliance standards (4841-R, Single Source Criteria-AR 608-10 and the Installation Child Care Evaluation Team Self Inspection Handbook) and other related Army/DOD facility standards.
