E-MAIL: Chris Wolfe, cwolfe@mail.arc.nasa.gov. NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Offers for the Repair Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning in Building N215. The Base Bid consists of the following: Replace roof and reroute roof drains; replace ceiling on second floor; install new lights on second floor; replace DX multizone system with DX packaged VAV system; and asbestos and lead paint abatement. Additive #1 is to replace steam heating system with hot water heating system. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 333 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1711. The corresponding size standard is $7 Million. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about 9/22/97 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about 10/22/97. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings will be available from the identified point of contact. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B".
