The government intends to procure on a Sole Source basis with Touch Controls Inc., the following: 1) 17.7" Flat Panel Workstation -- It will compose of a passive matrix flat panel with XGA resolution (1024 X 768) matched to a 17.7" diagonal enhanced infrared touch screen with 64 touch points per square inch. This unit will be complete with a polished stainless steel bezel, a scratch resistant acrylic face with a Pentium 166 CPU, 32MB Ram, 2.1GB Hard Disk Drive, a 10 BaseT Ethernet card, 3.5" floppy disk drive, one parallel port, one serial port, keyboard connector, one touch screen software driver (mouse emulator), operation and maintenance manual, and a AC cord. (qty 1); 2) 8.4" Touch Display -- It will compose of a modified 8.4" sharp thin film transistor (TFT) panel by adding a very bright back light package. The back light package consists of aluminum 800 luminance of white (nits). This will allow the panel to be readable in direct sunlight. In addition, the high resolution resistive touch screen panel will be encased in a very light portable aluminum case finished with a powder coat. The case will have enough space for a VME bus 3U size card form fit and laptop style batteries will be installed for up to 3 hour operation. The case will also have two (2) PCMCA ports (qty) 1; and 3) 42" Large Touch Display -- It will be diagonal touch screen utilizing a color plasma flat panel with VGA resolution (640 X 480) matched to a 42 diagonal indoor enhanced infrared touch screen with at least 64 touch points per square inch. This unit will be completed with a medium gray powder coated steel bezel, a scratch resistant acrylic face plate, and a light gray powder coated steel rear enclosure. This configuration of the large touch screen display will have a fiber option to digital decoder and a digital controller card built into the back end of the display. It will also come with a digital video output board with the capability to convert the digital video signal to fiber optic impulses. If the fiber optic configuration cannot be provided due to performance criteria, a large touch screen workstation will be delivered. This configuration will encase a computer with a Pentium 166 CPU, 32MB Ram, 2.1 GB Hard Drive, a 10 BaseT Ethernet card, 3.5" floppy disk drive, one parallel port, one serial port, keyboard connector, one touch screen software driver (mouse emulator), operation and maintenance manual, and an AC cord (qty 1).
