This is a contemplated sole source to Florida Natural Areas Inventory, 1018 Thomasville Road, Suite 200-C, Tallahassee FL 32303. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-97-Q-6359 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The contractor shall identify the top ten sites ranging from 200 to 1,000 acres on the Eglin reservation worthy of field surveys for Gopher tortoise. The contractor shall re-survey the 20 known bog frog sites on the Eglin reservation to document the species presence and status. Alligator snapping turtles and other river turtles: the contractor shall identify areas on the Eglin reservation suitable for field surveys. The contractor will sample terrestrial habitats on the Eglin reservation with drift fence-trap arrays and cover boards todocument the occurrence of other common and rare species of amphibians and reptiles. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
