COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 4,1997 PSA#1923

J-MAINTENANCE, OPERATION AND RECURRING SUPPORT SERVICES OF BASE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS AT CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN CO The 38th Engineering Installation Wing has a requirement for nonpersonal services for operation, maintenance, and recurring support services of the base telephone system at Cheyenne Mountain. The proposed contract is for one basic period and four option periods totaling approximately 60 months. This is advance notice of the top secret requirement for this effort. The contract will contain a DD254 and proposals must contain resumes for positions indicating top secret clearance. The current contract contains four top secret/SCI billets. The projected time frame for proposal submission is February or March 1998. The system consists of the following: (1) Nortel Meridian MSL-100, equipped with approximately 1050 voice and data lines with 5000 lines wired and one remote switch equipped with 300 lines. There are both commercial and Defense Switched Network (DSN) trunks, access to FTS 2000, hot lines, data circuits, radio circuits, key systems, and crash nets. Foreign participation is not permitted on this effort due to the top secret requirements. Competition is open to domestic sources only. Contractor technical personnel must possess Top Secret level clearances as stated above. This is an advance notice only at this time to allow clearances to be processed. This is not a request for bidders listings nor are we ready at this time to issue the solicitation.
