U -- The synopsis published on 22 August 1997 is amended as follows: PROVIDE MILITARY OCCUPATION SPECIALTY (MOS) IMPROVEMENT INSTRUCTION SOLICITATION NO. DAKF48-97-R-0018 Provide Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) Improvement Instruction which includes training support functions at Fort Hood, Texas for a base period commencing on or about 1 May 1998, or date of award, and four one-year option periods. Tentative issue date is 07 October 1997. The anticipated contract type is a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract. Contractor instructor personnel must have a minimum of five years experience as a noncommissioned or commissioned officer in the instructional area. Computer literacy is a requirement with experience/education/training in computer related fields preferred. Sample MOS Courses are Unit Level Logistics Systems -- Ground, Motor Pool Operations/Management Course, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Course, and Unit Movement Officer/Joint Deployment Officer Course. The annual estimatednumber of sessions is 28,570. There is a $25.00 charge for this solicitation. Each request shall be submitted in writing and must be accompanied by a $25.00 check made payable to the United States Treasury.
