NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the purchase of a recorder system, rack mount kit, 8-channel analog waveform module, 4-channel analog waveform module, external time source module, digital interface, and case of C-72 Z-fold paper. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The anticipated release date of RFQ 733-38188-0000/920 is on or about 09/02/97 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 09/09/97. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet.
