Solicitation number N00168-98-Q-B213 will be issued 17 September 1997 for the Inpatient Medical Records Department, National Naval Medical Center. This requirement is unrestricted. NNMC has a requirement for on-site medical record coding utilizing the International Classification of Diseases-Ninth Edition- Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) Coding system, Current Procedural Terminology 4th Edition (CPT-4) and the Diagnostic Related Group (DRG) version 11.0 format. Award will be made in the form of a purchase order for a base period of six (6) months for the period 1 October 1997 through 31 March 1998 with an option to extend the contract for six (6) months. An estimated six thousand (6,000) records to be coded during the length of the contract. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the options.
