The AEGIS Training and Readiness Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, has a requirement for technical and engineering support in the systems engineering, integration, development, maintenance, documentation, and operation of training tools. These training tools include those used for tactical team training, operator training, and other interactive courseware and authoring systems. Deliveries of both programs and courseware will be required both aboard ship and to shore based facilities. This requirement is a follow-on to contract N00178-95-D-2001 with SYSCON Corporation. The Navy intends to issue a 5 year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract under which both level of effort and completion delivery orders will be issued. The total effort for the 5 year contract period is estimated at 400 man years. The solicitation will be issued in the December 1997/January 1998 time frame with proposals due approximately 45 days after issue.
