S -- PRIVATIZATION OF NATURAL GAS SYSTEM SOL 107&&&-9709-0004 POC Linda Napolitano, Contract Specialist, 914-938-8195, Daniel Hamilton, Contracting Officer, 914-938-8206 (Site Code DAMA01) Market Survey: The United States Military Academy is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for the privitization of the Natural Gas System at Stewart Army Subpost, New Windsor, New York. Under privitization a contractor is required to own and operate the natural gas system to include mains, branches, regulators, meters, and all other component parts. The existing natural gas system consists of approximately 18 miles of gas mains (metallic) and 2 miles of service connections (plastic). There are approximately 280 buildings connected to the natural gas system with consumption of approximately 75,000 m/cuf per year. Reduced consumption due to downsizing, prior to the divestiture of Stewart Army Subpost, is expected. Divestiture is scheduled to be no later than 30 September 1999. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this requirement is 4923 with a size standard of $5,000,000.
