Construct and Lease on an USPS Controlled Site a 6,493 SF net interior
one-story mansory postal location on a 1.639 acre site (71,395 +/-
SF). The successful offeror will be required to purchase the site in
accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the Assignable
Option to Purchase which is included with this solicitation. It will be
the successful offeror's responsibility to provide any and all
improvements, whether on-site or off-site, to meet DOT, county, and/or
EPA requirements, including, but not limited to,
acceleration/deceleration lanes, storm water or other drainage and/or
landscaping improvements. The USPS does not guarantee marketable title
or site conditions. Additionally, it will be the successful offeror's
responsibility to construct (and then lease) said building per USPS
furnished plans and specifications (Standard Plan 65A)within a period
no earlier than 120 days nor no later than 180 days. The USPS has the
right to require the offeror to furnish a Performance Bond
(Construction) or a Labor and material Bond (Construction) with surety
certified acceptable by the Treasury Department, in such penal amounts
as the contracting officer may require. If required to furnish such
bonds, the offerors must furnish, within 30 days after request, written
assurance by the surety that the required bonds will be issued. The
offeror's failure to furnish such assurance may be grounds for
rejection of the proposal. Written requests, along with the $40.00 per
package non-refundable fee, should be directed to: Jennifer Merriss,

30340-2799. Checks/Money Orders should be made payable to "USPS --
DISBURSING OFFICER". NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS
FOR PLANS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Plans and specifications will be available
on or about 09/08/97. Requests for Planholders lists should be
directed to Jennifer Merriss, via FAX (770) 454-0608 and/or via e-mail
(jmerriss@usps.gov) Monday-Thursday. Replies will be forwarded as
requested via fax and/or e-mail the following Friday. All requestors
will be maintained on a master file and will receive updates each
Friday as well as the day prior to close of the solicitation.
