LAKES, PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN, 213-894-4942 The General Services Administration (GSA) Los Angeles Service Center (LASC) is seeking contractors interested in applying to its bidders mailing list for services, construction and commercial items contracts, and simplified acquisitions (purchases less than $100,000) in the Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange Counties of California. GSAs preferred method of application to its bidders mailing list is via FACNET, the federal governments system of Electronic Commerce/Electronic Data Interchange (EC/EDI). Contractors already registered to do FACNET acquisitions must respond directly to GSAs request for information (RFI) synopsis via regular FACNET means in order to be added to LASCs mailing list. (Check the CBD and FACNET during the month of August, 1997, for GSAs RFI.) Contractors not currently registered to do federal FACNET acquisitions may register in one of the following ways: 1. Register for FACNET through the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) via the Internet address http://ccr.edi.disa.mil/. Instructions and registration information are provided at this site. Once you are registered through the CCR, you must respond via FACNET to the above cited RFI for automatic addition to our bidders list. 2. FAX a request for a CCR registration packet to the Department of Defense EC Information Center at 1-888-227-8457. To request a packet by phone, call them at 1-888-227-2423.
