G -- OUTREACH/ADMISSIONS AND PLACEMENT OF YOUTH FOR THE JOB CORPS PROGRAM IN THE STATES OF INDIANA AND ILLINOIS SOL RFP No. 5-JC-968-18 DUE 102497 POC Contracting Officer, Richard C. Request for proposals (RFPs) for the Outreach/Admissions and Placement of youth for the Job Corps program in the States of Indiana and Illinois will be available approximately September 03, 1997 for issue in response to written request. Job Corps is a program which provides education, vocational, avocational and support services to youth 16 through 24, in a residential setting. RFP 5-JC-968-18 is to meet the recruitment needs of 1,285 youth; 460 males and 525 females from the State of Indiana and the recruitment needs from the State of Illinois are 142 males, including 23 non-residential males for the Joliet Job Corps Center and 158 females, including 37 non-residential females for the Joliet Job Corps Center. RFP 5-JC-968-18 is also to meet the placement needs of 1,114 youth; 874 youth from the State of Indiana and 240 youth from the State of Illinois. In addition, any interested offeror should also plan for the possibility that recruitment needs may be expanded to include the States of Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period May 1, 1998 through April 30, 1999, plus four unilateral Governmental option years. Requests for RFPs must be accompanied by two (2) self-addressed mailing labels. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due no later than 12:00 Noon central standard time on October 24, 1997. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 230 South Dearborn, John C. Kluczynski Federal Building, Office of Job Corps, 6th Floor, Room 676, Chicago, Illinois on September 15, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. central standard time.
