The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) Eglin AFB, FL, intends to award a contract for the maintenance service support of Computer Tomography (CT) scanner and ancillary equipment to G. E. Medical Systems, Milwaukee, WI. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform this maintenance service including any special handling equipment required to replace X-ray tubeheads. The contractor shall provide 12 months of maintenance service support for CT scanner systems. All maintenance service shall be performed by professionally and formally trained, technically qualified and certified servicemen and shall be responsible for recording all work actions in customer's maintenance log. Such records shall be in accordance with current applicable regulations and industry standard practice. This is a joint maintenance support agreement between the Air Force Biomedical Repair technicians and the contractor. This proposed contract is based on a first call which means if Air Force repair technicians cannot repair the CT scanner and all related equipment, the contractor will do so.
