Naval Hospital Jacksonville is seeking sources to provide a nurse phone triage service for their beneficiaries. The service would provide 24 hour phone access to a nurse who could direct the patient to proper level of medical care. The nurses will use nationally accepted algorithms to triage patients. When appropriate they recommend self help home care, book appointment for the patient to the Military Medical Treatment Facility using the government computer system or recommend patient seek emergent care at emergency room. The service will provide management reports to the government to include phone call statistics and pertinent patient information for case management of patients. In addition the service will provide at least 40 hours of prerecorded health information on a wide range of topics.
